The Toronto Blue Jays had a solid season in 2022, reaching the postseason after a full 162-game slate for the first time since 2016.
Toronto went 92-70 and earned the top American League Wild Card spot.
One of the key contributors was outfielder George Springer.
Despite his age, Springer doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
The slugger hit .267 with 25 home runs and 76 RBI and posted an OPS of .814.
Thanks to yet another impressive season, Springer is a Silver Slugger finalist.
The 33-year-old has been a Silver Slugger twice and is now gunning for his third Silver Slugger Award.
Springer is one of eight outfield Silver Slugger finalists, joining his teammate in Teoscar Hernandez.
By George, he’s a finalist again 🤩

Springer A Silver Slugger Finalist
Also on the list for outfield Silver Slugger Award finalists are Aaron Judge, Adolis Garcia, Anthony Santander, Taylor Ward, Mike Trout, Kyle Tucker, Randy Arozarena, and Julio Rodriguez.
Springer is also one of six Blue Jays Silver Slugger Award finalists, joining Hernandez, Bo Bichette, Matt Chapman, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro Kirk.
Though Springer is aging and has dealt with various injuries over the course of his career, he is still hitting well enough to be considered for a Silver Slugger Award.
Thanks in large part to Springer, the Blue Jays scored 775 runs, which was fourth-best in all of baseball and second in the American League behind the New York Yankees.
The Silver Slugger Award winners will be announced in due time.
All Award Winners will be revealed after the conclusion of the World Series.
