For the fourth time in the last six years, the Houston Astros find themselves in the World Series.
The emerging Philadelphia Phillies have come to town and are ready to crash the party, but the Astros remain cool and confident.
One of the main reasons the Astros have been so successful for so many years is that the front office has made key moves to help create a winning team, while also churning out some top homegrown players.
At midday, Lance McCullers Jr. spoke about Astros owner Jim Crane and had nothing but nice things to say about him.
Lance McCullers Jr.@lmccullers43):”I think Jim’s (Crane) probably the best owner in sports.I’ve never been with another team..but when guys come here, Jim will walk in & knows people’s names & shake our hands & talk to us & they ‘re like that doesn’t happen w/ other teams” pic.twitter.com/hV51ueOnhF

McCullers Praises Crane
Clearly, McCullers relishes being a part of the Astros organization and feels that Crane has created a good culture within the organization itself.
When a player feels comfortable with his team and talks about the culture of the organization the way that McCullers is, that means that the organization is doing something right and creating a very player-friendly environment.
It also shows that the ownership group is invested in building such a culture, one that includes winning and professionalism.
To McCullers, Crane has been instrumental in creating that type of environment in Houston.
Houston has been a mainstay in the World Series for the past several years and are ready to try and take another shot at a title.
The Astros have become a model franchise over the years and continue to win.
But clearly, McCullers is fond of how Crane runs the team and believes that the culture is like none other in baseball.
