The Los Angeles Angels began the 2022 season on a good note, but quickly collapsed by the month of June and soon found themselves buried in the standings, with another year of Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani having gone to waste.
This past offseason was quite productive for the Halos, however.
The team signed left-hander Tyler Anderson to bolster their starting rotation and also added some key pieces to their lineup, including Hunter Renfroe, Gio Urshela, and Brandon Drury.
Yesterday marked the first day of spring camp, as well as the arrival of Trout and Ohtani.
On Twitter, MLB posted photos of the two Halos superstars arriving at camp.

With more offseason activity, the Angels look to be in a position to take advantage of what could be the final season that Trout and Ohtani are together.
Ohtani is a free agent at the end of the season and could potentially sign a contract elsewhere.
For now though, the Angels have both stars intact and are looking to make some improvements in 2023 and succeed in areas where they fell short in 2022.
Last season was a disastrous one for the Halos, as they finished with a 73-89 record and missed the postseason for the eighth straight season, which is a trend they’ll hope to reverse this season.
Having Trout and Ohtani in the same lineup is a good start, but they’ll have a better supporting cast around them in what could prove to be their final season together.
We’ll see if they can carry the Angels back to the postseason.
