Even if you’re not a fan of the NBA, chances are that you’ve seen — or at least heard about — White Men Can’t Jump.
This iconic movie, released in 1992, is officially turning 31 years old today, but it didn’t take long before it became a classic.

For those few fans who haven’t watched it yet, the story follows Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson) and Sydney Dean (Wesley Snype), two basketball players hustling unaware victims to get some money out of them.
Billy is trying to get some money to pay off a debt to keep him and his girlfriend safe, while Sydney is just trying to get his family out of a dangerous neighborhood.
The iconic duo gets into some early struggles before getting a big payday in a basketball tournament, just to lose it after Billy on a bet that states that white men can’t jump to score.
Notably, this classic is getting a reboot pretty soon, with Hip-Hop star Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls as the main stars.
The trailer shows Harlow pretending to be very bad at hoops, showing plenty of similarities with the original flick from the 90s.
The film is reportedly set to have similar aesthetics, player development, and story, although it’s expected to have a more modern look, and it’s expected to hit Hulu’s screen on May 19.
White Men Can’t Jump’s reboot will be directed by award-winning music video director Calmatic, and he’s going to have some big shoes to fill, as expectations will be at an all-time high.
