Over the past few days, Boston Red Sox outfielder and Toronto Blue Jays ace Alek Manoah have had some issues with one another.
Verdugo made an appearance on a Boston sports podcast and expressed his discontent with the Blue Jays right-hander, calling him out and stating that he believes Manoah behaves disrespectfully towards his opponents.
And so, since Verdugo made his comments, fans have been waiting to hear what Manoah had to say about this claim.
As it turns out, not much.
In response, Manoah simply stated that he doesn’t care what Verdugo or other opponents think about him while he’s pitching.

And so, not much of a saga is generated by this recent controversy.
Verdugo made clear that he finds Manoah to be very disrespectful towards his opponents while pitching.
On the other hand, Manoah made it clear that he doesn’t care what others think of him and that it ultimately won’t take him out of his routine.
One thing that is clear is that Manoah is a fierce competitor and wants to take the ball every fifth day and give the Blue Jays a chance to win.
Simply put, that is all that the right-hander truly cares about.
To him, it doesn’t matter if Verdugo or other opponents don’t appreciate the way he goes about his business, and he isn’t going to change anything just to appease those who don’t like it.
Both Manoah and Verdugo have made their stances on this matter very clear, and it appears that not much is going to come of this.
