MLB legend Albert Pujols had a farewell season in 2022 with his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.

He won multiple MVP awards and World Series with them, so it made perfect sense for him to go out with them a few days after hitting his 700th home run.

Now officially retired, he is back on the field with the Los Angeles Angels, his team for ten years from 2012 to 2021.

No, he is not playing.

“Albert Pujols is in Angels camp today and will likely be here for the next few days as an instructor. The team said he’s going to be fulfilling his personal services contract with the Angels,” Angels insider Sam Blum tweeted.

The Angels can only benefit from having Pujols as a guest instructor, even if it will be just for a few days.

Despite the team releasing Pujols in 2021, there is no hard feelings between the two parties.

They needed the roster spot at the time and the player had been unproductive for a long while to that point.

Young Angels hitters and infielders will have a deep source of knowledge in their own camp for the next few days.

Imagine being a power hitter and getting pointers from one of only four guys in the history of the game to reach 700 home runs.

He hit 24 as a 42-year old last year to make that happen, against all odds.

He is now ready to enjoy retirement, but is currently at his workplace for the last 25 years or so: the field.

It’s good to see the future Hall of Famer sharing some of that vast baseball knowledge of his.
