Just last week, the St. Louis Cardinals made their biggest splash in free agency since signing Matt Holliday prior to the 2010 season.
The team signed veteran catcher Willson Contreras to a five-year, $87.5 million contract that includes a club option for the 2028 season.
On Monday, the Atlanta Braves acquired catcher Sean Murphy from the Oakland Athletics.
The trade was a three-team deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, who received William Contreras, the brother of Willson, from the Braves.
Now, both Contreras brothers will have some frequent meetings, with the Cardinals and Brewers scheduled to play 13 games against each other next season.
And so, a special MLB rivalry is born.

super contreras bros
Rarely do we get a chance to see two brothers battling it out in a division race, but next year, baseball fans will get a chance to see these two in action when the Brewers and Cardinals meet.
This should be a fun rivalry, but also a good-natured one as well.
These two will certainly share some great moments together when their teams battle each other in the National League Central division.
The NL Central appears to be a two-team race between St. Louis and Milwaukee as of now.
So to add to a nice little sibling rivalry, fans will get a chance to watch their teams duke it out for NL Central supremacy.
The Cardinals beat the Brewers to the top in 2022, winning 93 games finishing seven games ahead of their NL Central counterparts.
But with both Contreras brothers now in the Central, the rivalry will become all the more exciting.
