The NFL offseason is upon us, and many teams are looking to improve their roster.
The new league year begins on March 15th at 4 pm eastern, and that is when free agency opens as well.
While some teams will be looking to improve their roster through the draft, others will find value in free agency.
One team that is reportedly interested in adding a quarterback is the San Francisco 49ers.
According to NFL Networks, Albert Breer, the 49ers are keeping an eye on Baker Mayfield.

San Francisco already has Trey Lance, and Brock Purdy on their roster.
Yet, they seem interested in bringing in another backup on the cheap.
After what happened to the 49ers last year, they can never have too much depth at quarterback.
They were stuck having to play with an injured Purdy in the NFC Championship game.
So adding a quarterback like Mayfield with some NFL success seems like a smart move.
Mayfield seemed to resurrect his career with the Los Angles Rams at the end of last season.
He was released by the Carolina Panthers, and the QB-needy Rams scooped him up very quickly.
In five games, Mayfield completed 63.6% of his passes, for 850 yards and four touchdowns.
Not many teams will be interested in Mayfield as their starter.
But, he is more than capable of being a solid backup in the league.
Despite never living up to the hype of being a first-overall pick, Mayfield must find a niche as a backup if he wants to remain in the league.
