While the San Francisco Giants made some key moves this offseason, their winter was largely defined by who they didn’t sign.
The team lost out on Aaron Judge and Carlos Correa.
Their failure to land Judge stung the most, as MLB Network’s Jon Heyman had jumped the gun and reported that the reigning American League MVP was signing with San Francisco.
To add insult to injury, Heyman created a funny meme in the process, mistakenly typing “Arson Judge” in his tweet.
Judge ultimately returned to the Yankees.
On Thursday, the Giants traveled to the Bronx to face off against the Yanks, and a fan showed up to Yankee Stadium with an Arson Judge jersey.

This fan certainly showed up to Yankee Stadium in style.
Again, San Francisco’s offseason was largely defined by who they did not sign, with Judge being the biggest loss.
But this Giants fan got creative and made his own Arson Judge jersey to add even more substance and humor to an already hilarious meme.
San Francisco was certainly close to securing the bag, but it was the Yankees who ultimately brought back their slugger.
And as fate would have it, Judge hit a home run in his first at-bat off Giants starter Logan Webb, which proved to be the difference as the Yankees defeated San Francisco by a 5-0 final.
In fitting fashion, Judge’s heroics came at the expense of the Giants.
But at least this fan managed to get creative and add more substance to a hilarious meme.
