Over the past several seasons, the NFL has released multiple new jersey ideas, which have been met with mixed reviews.

For instance, the Color Rush jerseys were received well by some fans, but others expressed disdain for their team’s offering.

Recently, a Kansas City-based Twitter account posed a question, wondering if the Chiefs should wear Dallas Texans jerseys for a throwback event.

Chris Jones answered with a two-word response.

“Please don’t,” said Jones in a recent Tweet.

The Dallas Texans were formed in 1960, and owner Lamar Hunt moved the team to Kansas City in 1963 where the team found its new identity as the Chiefs.

While the Texans’ name is a part of team history, it appears that Jones wants no part of it, at least when considering a throwback uniform.

Jones might not have a say in the matter.

If the team is considering a throwback Texans jersey, he may have no choice but to wear it.

However, Jones has established himself as a leader on the defensive side of the ball for the Chiefs.

His teammates trust and respect him, and his leadership carries significant weight.

If he is adamantly against these uniforms, his teammates could follow suit, putting up a similar fuss.

Red, white, and yellow have become three staple colors within this organization, and have been used since the team was founded.

While their old uniforms are similar to what they have now, Jones doesn’t want to change what the team is going for them.
