Late on Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins added a key veteran to their infield mix.
Minnesota signed veteran utility infielder Donovan Solano to a one-year, major-league contract.
The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
The 35-year-old spent the 2022 season with the Cincinnati Reds.
In 80 games and 304 plate appearances, Solano hit .284 with four home runs and 24 RBI, while also drawing 19 walks and posting an OPS of .724.
The veteran began his career in 2012 with the Miami Marlins.
He has also spent time with the New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants.
On Twitter, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic confirmed the news of the signing.

The deal is still pending a physical.
Solano brings some power from the right side for the Twins, as well as the ability to play all four infield positions.
For his career, Solano is a .278 hitter with a total of 27 home runs, 206 RBI, a .327 on-base percentage, and a .374 slugging percentage.
With Carlos Correa, Jorge Polanco, and Kyle Farmer in the infield for the Twins, Solano could serve as a utility infielder or even potentially as a designated hitter.
The 35-year-old also brings a veteran presence to a young Twins team that is looking to take the next step after showing glimpses of promise in 2022.
Minnesota won just 78 games last season.
They led the American League Central for much of the season until a second-half collapse took them out of contention and cost them a spot in the postseason.
Solano is just the latest addition for a team that has already added Joey Gallo, Christian Vazquez, Pablo Lopez, Michael A. Taylor, and Farmer.
