After eight seasons, Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer have been reunited.
The two were teammates with the Detroit Tigers from 2010-2014.
Scherzer signed with the Washington Nationals after the 2014 season, and Verlander was ultimately traded to the Houston Astros in 2017.
But the two have reunited as a strong one-two punch at the top of the New York Mets rotation.
Scherzer joined the Mets just days before the MLB lockout in 2021.
After Jacob deGrom left for the Texas Rangers, Verlander was signed by the Mets to replace him.
Mets fans are certainly excited to see these two in action.

By the looks of it, the two Mets aces are in sync and are ready to pick up where they left off before Scherzer left Detroit.
Verlander has won three Cy Young Awards, including last season with the Astros.
Scherzer has also won three Cy Young Awards and is an eight-time All-Star.
Both veteran right-handers are surefire Hall-of-Famers and have been at this for a long time.
But having them together is a huge plus for the Mets as they look to make a deeper postseason run in 2023.
Last season, they fell short in the Wild Card round against the San Diego Padres.
However, both aces have tremendous postseason experience and are set to lead the Mets to bigger and better things in the future.
Verlander signed for two years and $86 million, and Scherzer is under contract for at least this season.
