The Tampa Bay Rays had a relatively quiet offseason, with their only significant move being the signing of right-hander Zach Eflin.
But with the addition of Eflin, the Rays have a chance to overwhelm their opponents with a truly stacked starting rotation.
Tyler Glasnow is healthy again, and Shane McClanahan has emerged as a top-of-the-rotation starter.
They also have Drew Rasmussen and Jeffrey Springs.
Needless to say, the rotation is going to be tough for teams to beat, especially in a deep division such as the American League East.

After a strong 2022 season, McClanahan is more than likely going to be the team’s ace in 2023.
But with Glasnow healthy again, that should help the Rays form a deadly one-two punch at the top of the rotation.
Eflin was a key addition.
The Rays barely outbid the Boston Red Sox for the veteran right-hander.
He served in a relief role for the Philadelphia Phillies during their magical postseason run, so he does have some big game experience.
Springs and Rasmussen are also some solid pieces to go at the back end of Tampa Bay’s rotation.
The Rays were the third Wild Card team in the American League last season and were knocked out by the Cleveland Guardians in the first round.
However, their pitching could be what sets them apart from other squads in the American League, and it could even rival the loaded rotation of the New York Yankees.
