The New York Knicks have closed the transfer of Josh Hart from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Cam Reddish, Svi Mykhailiuk, Ryan Arcidiacono and a future protected first round of the Draft, Shams Charania reported from the media. The Athletic.
With the moves of Malik Beasley and Jarred Vandervilt to the Los Angeles Lakers, Leon Rose accelerated the talks for Hart, and he was finally able to wrap up his arrival without throwing away too many big pieces, since neither of them carried much weight in Tom Thibodeau’s rotation.
Hart lands in the Knicks to become a very important piece of the rotation, especially for a second unit so in need of defense and scoring. In the current season he is receiving a salary of 12.96 million dollars, and ahead of him there is an additional course valued at another 12.96 million, which is not fully guaranteed.
In 51 official games (all as a starter) he is averaging 9.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 33.4 minutes per day.
