If you have never seen My Cousin Vinny, you may be missing out on a real classic.

It has a huge fan base and fans usually love to quote the movie and show memes of their favorite scenes.

It has a pretty large following so when it didn’t make it on 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die by Steven Schneider, fans were naturally shocked.

Many of them took to Twitter to share their surprise and some of their favorite parts of the movie.

They pointed out the great acting, the best scenes, and many of them shared how often they watch it or just how much they love it.

Of course, not everyone has seen the film or enjoys it as much as the true fans. If you aren’t familiar with the film, Rotten Tomatoes describes the plot:

“New York lawyer Vinny has never won a case. When his teenage cousin Bill and his friend Stan are accused of murder in a backwater Alabama town, it’s up to the nervous Vinny to save him from jail, even though he’s only ever tried personal injury cases before, and none of them successfully.”

It stars some pretty big actors as well. Most notable, Joe Pesci, Marisa Tomei, Ralph Macchio, Mitchell Whitfield, Fred Gwynne, and Lane Smith.

The film also won many awards. Marisa Tomei won best supporting actress at the Academy Awards and was nominated again for the award at the 20/20 Awards.

She also won Most Promising Actress at the Chicago Film Critics Association Awards and Best Breakthrough actress at the MTV Movie Awards. Joe Pesci won Funniest Actor in a Motion Picture at the American Comedy Awards.

It’s easy to see why fans were so surprised when this film didn’t make the list.
