Only a first round separates Bogdanovic from the Lakers

After weeks of speculation, the Detroit Pistons have finally put a price on the departure of Bojan Bogdanovic. They have done it, obviously, through unofficial spokespersons who this time speak through Marc Stein and his prestigious newsletter. The journalist breaks down in his daily publication the possible conditions of the transfer by which the Michigan franchise demands a first round election without any type of protection. As has been customary since before trading Utah for Detroit, the Lakers are the team most involved in garlic.

Rob Pelinka has been tempting Bogdanovic for months, but his reluctance to drop one of the Angels’ two remaining first-round picks has kept him from being traded on more than one occasion. According to Stein, the last offer laker It has been one of those elections, but with some type of protection that is unknown. To which the Pistons have flatly refused. In fact, the demands to eliminate the mentioned protection are a minimum requirement to sit down to negotiate seriously, but nothing ensures that Detroit accepts without further ado.

The Pistons signed Bogdanovic to a two-year, $39 million deal last October. Perhaps with the idea of going up a couple of competitive steps in the short term along with the rest of the veterans who arrived in other movements. However, the poor collective performance that the team has shown in this start of the campaign caused them to quickly leak their availability for the market. At 33 years old, Bojan is having a very good season in individual terms. In 28 games his averages are 21 points (career high), 2.4 assists (career high), 3.6 rebounds and 43.7% on 3-pointers (career high).
