Nerlens Noel is one of the Detroit Pistons players who is arousing the greatest commercial interest within the NBA. According to the media journalist SNYIan Begley, Michigan management has been asked about the inside by several playoff teams.
More specifically, the Mavericks and the Pistons have recently negotiated for Noel, some talks in which there would have been some rapprochement, according to the same sources. The pivot arrived in Detroit at the end of last June from the New York Knicks.
Noel has been pushed out of the regular rotation for a Pistons who are suffering from overstrength in the inside game. The presence of Isaiah Stewart, Marvin Bagley III and Jalen Duren has meant that Noel has only played six games this season.
Thus, Dallas emerges as an interesting trading partner for the Pistons. The incorporation of JaVale McGee has not provided any competitive boost for the Mavericks, who are seriously considering the option of making changes of some relevance before the market closes in order to redirect the irregular course of the season.
