The Kings continue to shore up their squad to continue on the good path started during the 2022-23 season. As confirmed by Sasha Vezenkov’s agents to ESPNthe Bulgarian national has reached a three-year agreement to play in Sacramento.
The Californian franchise had the rights to Vezenkov since last summer, when they agreed to a transfer with Cleveland for which the Cavs kept the 49th place in the 2022 Draft. With that choice they chose Isaiah Mobley.
Vezenkov was selected 57th overall in the 2017 Draft.
Vezenkov, born in Cyprus, has been an Olympiakos player until this past season. During this course, the 27-year-old power forward – he will turn 28 next August – was awarded the most outstanding award in the Euroleague, the MVP.
According to the information leaked by the player’s agents, Vezenkov is expected to have an important role in the Kings, something for which he must continue hitting from long distance as he has done so far in his career, in which he accumulates 40%. ERA since triple in EuroLeague.
