The Mariners have underperformed in the first half of the season despite high expectations going into it. They ended a long playoff drought last season and were hoping for a big run this year. They are just a few games away from the wild card race. So the additions of an extra bat or two would help them bolster the lineup to make a run. Seattle can make a move to bolster their already good lineup. Although there is a chance that at the deadline they might fall down the ranks and decide to sell. Outfielder Teoscar Hernández would be a player to watch as he is in his walk year. He could get some awesome loot for them.

The Guardians have a chance to win the AL Central just like last year. They are playing well, but they have had problems at times. If they are out of the playoff race, which is highly unlikely but possible, it could force them to make a move. Shane Bieber would attract a lot of interest since the starting pitching market is thin. He will be a free agent before the 2025 season and has pitched well this year. The Guardians will be an interesting team to watch because there’s no clear direction right now.

The Mets are an interesting team that has underperformed well despite a busy offseason. They put together a roster to be a World Series contender. It’s been a lackluster start for them so far and they are struggling to find their footing. Although not a popular idea, the Mets could end up being sellers if things don’t improve by then. The team may decide to sell part of their league-leading salary. Of course, that would mean they’re admitting defeat on a list they committed to. It will be interesting to see what happens.
The trade deadline is always a fun and unpredictable time. Here are some of the bubble teams to watch over the next few weeks. Fans should also keep an eye out for teams in the National League Central, as they can be a big factor. Tune in for more MLB news and stories.
