The St. Louis Cardinals will kick off the London Series tomorrow against the Chicago Cubs.

They will send veteran right-hander and two-time World Series champion Adam Wainwright to the mound for the series opener.

Wainwright is 3-1 with a 5.56 ERA on the season and is coming off a 6.1-inning, three-run start against the New York Mets.

But on Friday, the three-time All-Star got a chance to reunite with an old friend.

MLB Network is currently in London right now, with a crew that features future Hall-of-Famer Albert Pujols, who has taken on a role as an analyst.

On Twitter, John Denton of MLB.com posted a picture of Wainwright and Pujols sharing a moment together.

Pujols retired last season along with his teammate and Wainwright’s longtime batterymate in catcher Yadier Molina.

However, he and Wainwright got to share a nice moment together on Friday.

Pujols, Wainwright, and Molina won two World Series rings together in 2006 and 2011 and provided Cardinals fans with unforgettable memories.

Last season, Pujols returned to the Cardinals for his final season and along with his two fellow legends, guided the team to a 93-win season and 13th division title.

The 41-year-old right-hander is in his final season and will soon join Molina and Pujols in retirement.

But Wainwright and Pujols are certainly close with one another, having shared many memories together during their time in St. Louis.

Now, the two of them have a chance to reunite in London ahead of the Cardinals’ series with their hated rivals in the Cubs.
