Yankees Fans Are Getting Concerned With Giancarlo Stanton

The New York Yankees have always been an offense carried by the bat of Aaron Judge.

But since he is on the injured list the Yankees need some of their other players to step up.

One player who has been a major disappointment is Giancarlo Stanton.

The Yankees hoped that Judge and Stanton would be the “bash bros,” but they struggled to stay on the field.

Stanton has spent most of the season on the injured list.

But, since returning from injury he has played 12 games.

According to theScore, Stanton has gone 5-41 with 15 strikeouts since his activation.

Stanton is hitting .204 with six home runs and 13 RBI on the season.

Due to his long injury history, it is fair to wonder how much Stanton has left in the tank.

He is 33 years old and is essentially a DH only at this point in his career.

The Yankees are paying Stanton far too much to bench him, but they may not have a choice if he continues to struggle.

Stanton has four years left on his contract and he is due at least $25 million per year.

The Yankees took on Stanton’s 13-year contract when they traded for him from the Marlins.

It is safe to say they may be regretting that move now.

Missing the playoffs is not acceptable for the Yankees.

So they need some other players to step up while Judge is out.

Many hope Stanton will be that player but it appears that his days of being a dominant hitter are over.
