The San Francisco Giants pulled off an impressive come-from-behind victory at Dodger Stadium on Friday night.

The team found themselves trailing 4-0 entering the seventh inning after Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Emmet Sheehan had held them hitless through six innings in his Major League debut.

But San Francisco began to chip away in the top of the seventh and ultimately took the lead in the eighth.

After the Dodgers tied it in the ninth, the Giants pulled back ahead in the 11th and ultimately held on for a 7-5 win.

With this win, the Giants accomplished an impressive feat.

According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com, this win was the Giants’ fifth when trailing by three or more runs this season, which matches their total from 2022.

To add to this impressive feat, this is the second straight game that the Giants have had to rally from at least three runs down to win a game.

On Wednesday, the Giants were down 5-2 in the seventh inning in St. Louis.

But they rallied against a taxed St. Louis Cardinals bullpen to pull off the victory.

That trademark resilience was on full display again on Friday in Los Angeles as the Giants pulled off their fifth consecutive victory.

But to have already won a total of five games after trailing by three runs or more is quite the accomplishment for the Giants.

The Giants missed the postseason last year, but now own a record of 37-32 and lead the race for the third and final Wild Card spot in the National League.
