On Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers got a strong performance from a new face.
23-year-old right-hander Emmet Sheehan made his Major League debut for the Dodgers on Friday night as they opened up a three-game weekend series against the San Francisco Giants.
Sheehan was firing on all cylinders as he made his debut in style.
The young right-hander pitched six no-hit innings against the Giants.
Sheehan allowed two walks, hit a batter, and struck out three.
But no Giants hitters managed to muster a hit against him.
On Twitter, MLB Network tweeted his line from Friday night’s game, which shows just how dominant he was.

Sheehan certainly had a debut to remember.
He threw 89 pitches in his Major League debut and kept the Giants at bay.
Unfortunately, San Francisco rallied from behind to win their fifth straight, but that didn’t take away from what a solid debut Sheehan had on Friday.
It was a night to remember for the young right-hander.
It wasn’t until his exit that things went haywire for the Dodgers.
Still, he put the Dodgers in position to ultimately win the game with his six no-hit innings.
The loss dropped the Dodgers to three games back of first place in the National League West division behind the red-hot Arizona Diamondbacks.
Brusdar Graterol, Victor Gonzalez, Tayler Scott, and Alex Vesia faltered late in the game, which allowed San Francisco to get back within striking distance and ultimately steal the win, souring the Dodgers night after Sheehan’s dominant performance.
