The Celtics seem willing to arrive reinforced for the 2023-24 season. Although there is still a long way to go with the celebration of the draft and free agency, the Greens are already moving to get the desired players in order to give new impetus to a squad that seems made to go for the ring, but that is not end up getting it.
With that goal, and as reported by James L. Edwards III of The AthleticBoston has called Detroit to inquire about the situation of Isaiah Stewart, whom they would see as a good addition to their inside game.
At 22 years old, Stewart has shown himself to be a solid player with those from Michigan, also being defensive pitch one of his specialties. In the recently concluded campaign he has signed an average of 11.3 points and 8.1 rebounds in 28.3 minutes per night. In addition, he has achieved a 32.3% success rate from the triple.
Regardless of whether the Celtics’ interest translates into an offer or not, the truth is that it would not be strange for the Pistons to look for a way out for Stewart given the overbooking they have in the paint. In the 2022 draft, they signed Jalen Duren with number 13, who has responded with 9.1 points and 8.9 rebounds. And as if that were not enough, they were also transferred via transfer with James Wiseman, who matched them with 12.7 points and 8.1 rebounds. In short: they have to make decisions.
