Houston’s multiple targets

Houston Rockets is one of the teams that raises the most doubts regarding the market this summer. On the one hand they have a young group of players, but on the other they seem to have the intention of incorporating players with some experience in the NBA; so much so that there is talk of the possibility of James Harden returning.

Faced with such a scenario, Kelly Iko of The Athletic He puts on the table several names that could be on the agenda of the Texas organization, although he assures at the same time that some of these may end up being impossible since they have already more or less decided where they want to play in the 2023-24 campaign.

The first name that the aforementioned journalist points out is that of Brook Lopez. The Rockets would be looking for a big man and the even Bucks player would fit into their plans; However, this seems destined to continue in Milwaukee, where he won the ring in 2021.

Other options for Houston are Clint Capela, Kristaps Porzingis, Myles Turner, Josh Hart, Dillon Brooks or Kelly Oubre, some free agents and other players they would trade for. Regarding Hart, and as with Brook Lopez, everything indicates that his intention is to continue in his current team, the New York Knicks.

That so many names emerge (and from different positions) responds to the fact that in Houston the path to follow is not entirely clear. As we said, the possible return of Harden has been talked about for a long time, but at the same time it is said that if he does not arrive, the target could be Kyrie Irving. Exactly, at this point it is impossible to predict what the Rockets will do.
