The Milwaukee Brewers have been off to a solid start this season, going 34-28 over their first 62 games and staking out a lead in the NL Central.
The team has received several key contributions from their core of young stars.
One of those stars is outfielder and third baseman Joey Wiemer.
The 24-year-old is hitting just .231 on the season through his first 182 at-bats, but has hit eight home runs, knocked out in 23 runs, stolen nine bases, and posted an OPS of .728.
Recently, the Brewers rookie has been on a tear.
Wiemer is on an eight-game hit streak after Wednesday night’s game.
During this hit streak, the 24-year-old is hitting at a .481 clip, going 13-for-27 with five doubles, three home runs, five walks, and two stolen bases.
On Twitter, the Brewers posted a video of a home run Wiemer hit on Wednesday against the Orioles.

He ended up hitting two home runs in Wednesday’s win.
The Brewers fell short of the postseason last year, but are lucky enough to have a strong core of young talent that is leading them despite some key injuries.
Wiemer continued his hot streak on Wednesday and picked up four hits, extending his hitting streak to eight games and leading the team to a 10-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles, who own the third-best record in all of baseball.
The Brewers also extended their lead in the NL Central to 1.5 games over the second-place Pittsburgh Pirates.
Milwaukee has won seven of their last 10 games thanks in large part to Wiemer’s hot streak.
