NFL legend Shannon Sharpe has reportedly reached a buyout agreement with FS1 to terminate his partnership with the network and, consequently, with Skip Bayless.
Some believe this was a long time coming, given the fact that Bayless had gotten personal against Sharpe and his career multiple times following his insensitive tweet about Damar Hamlin collapsing on the field.
Not shocked.

Optics would make it appear that Shannon might’ve wanted this. The economy suggests that Fox might have wanted it too.

That’s why it didn’t take long before the fans flooded social media with comments about this breakup, mostly them calling out Bayless and showing their support for the Pro Football Hall of Famer.
Sharpe decided to skip one show this game after Bayless’ tweet about Hamlin.
Skip infamously questioned why the NFL was thinking about postponing the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills shortly after Hamlin collapsed on the field, which led to endless backlash.
Sharpe explained why he skipped the show and asked Bayless to take the tweet down, yet he stood by it.
That could’ve been just one of many stand-offs that eventually led to this decision.
Sharpe had always been publicly supportive of Bayless and repeatedly thanked him for giving him the opportunity to join the sports media scene, even after this heated altercation.
And even though neither party has made comments about this breakup, this doesn’t necessarily mean there’s any sort of beef between the two, albeit the tension was evident.
Notably, Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast will also leave FS1, and his final appearance on “Undisputed” will come shortly after the end of the NBA Finals this month.
