Nobody knows if the waters will return to their course at some point in the season or if the outcome of the Brooklyn Nets project is none other than to dismantle the project and turn the page. A risk that was very present this summer when Kevin Durant requested the transfer and that he could threaten the franchise again in the coming months.
If it happens, there will be many franchises that are once again attentive to the situation in the face of to fish to one of the stars of the team. In fact, the 76ers showed great interest in Durant over the summer and are expected to try again if they can’t turn things around in Brooklyn.
According to sources from the journalist Heavy.com, Sean Deveney, the 76ers will return to the charge for the two-time MVP of the Finals if the Nets decide to trade him. However, Deveney points out that in Brooklyn they could be skeptical of closing a new transfer with Philly after the bad deal that, so far, has turned out to be the move for Ben Simmons.
In any case, said media ensures that the 76ers would have to include Tyrese Maxey in the offer for the Nets to consider it. To equalize salaries, Tobias Harris and Matisse Thybulle will most likely have to come into the operation. On the other hand, from Philadelphia they could only include their 2029 first round in the event the Nets demand draft picks. If they wanted to prioritize future capital, the 76ers would have a very difficult time meeting the expectations of Brooklyn’s management.
