Bad luck with injuries refuses to leave Lonzo Ball. The Chicago Bulls point guard will have to undergo surgery again to correct some persistent knee problems that have accompanied him for the last fourteen months, as the journalist from The AthleticShams Charania.
As a result, Lonzo could miss the entire 2023-24 season as well. He guard, who played his last game on January 14, 2022, underwent a second intervention in September that has not been able to make the discomfort in the affected area disappear. Thus, his return was delayed until, at the end of February, it was shared that he would spend the 2022-23 season blank.
While this is devastating news, both the franchise and the player are “optimistic that the procedure will be able to revive Ball’s career,” according to sources.
Ball, 25, was selected second overall in the 2017 draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He would later play for the New Orleans Pelicans before packing up for Chicago, where he seemed to have found somewhere to develop and settle until knee problems threatened to derail his career.
