The Atlanta Braves were smart enough to offer several contract extensions to some of their key players over the past year, effectively locking up their core for the foreseeable future.
One of those stars is reigning National League Rookie of the Year Michael Harris II.
Harris burst onto the scene in May of last season and helped guide the Braves to yet another NL East title, which was their fifth straight.
The team unfortunately fell short in the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies, but Harris’ impact was felt on many levels.
He’ll look to follow up his solid rookie campaign with another great season.
On Twitter, MLB Network posted a graphic featuring Harris’ numbers from 2022, while asking fans to make predictions for what his numbers will look like this year.

In terms of NL rookie ranks, Harris led or was tied for first in every category except for stolen bases.
He swiped 20 bags last season, which was second among National League rookies.
He was tied for first in home runs with 19.
He also led in hits, extra-base hits, and RBI.
Needless to say, it was a year to remember for Harris as he helped the Braves overcome a large deficit in the NL East to unseat the New York Mets at the top and claim their fifth straight crown.
Given his success last year, he appears to be set up for yet another strong campaign this year as the Braves look to bring home their sixth consecutive NL East crown and potentially make a return trip to the World Series for the second time in three years.
