The Houston Astros were the best team in the American League this year.
After a 106-win regular season, the Astros have been even better in the postseason.
Houston has yet to lose a game in the playoffs with a perfect 7-0 record.
They enter the World Series as heavy favorites.
Here are three reasons why the Astros will most likely win the World Series.
1. Elite Pitching
The Astros have the best pitching staff in all of baseball.
They go 5-6 pitchers deep in their starting rotation along with a very good bullpen.
Ryne Stanek, who had pitched only eleven in this postseason, comes in and strikes out the side in the seventh. That might be the best example yet of the Astros’ incredible pitching depth.

Justin Verlander and Framber Valdez should both finish in the top three in AL Cy Young voting.
If this pitching staff is as good as they have been all season, the Phillies will be in trouble.
2. World Series Experience
The Astros are no strangers to playing in the World Series.
Houston has made the World Series in four of the past six seasons.
The Astros continue to reload each season and their experience can be key.
The Phillies on the other hand have not made the World Series since 2009.
Will the moment be too big for them?
Because it will not be for the Astros.
3. Power Bats
The Astros have the luxury of some of the best hitters in the American League on their team.
The key for them will be the performances of Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, and Alex Bregman.

Playing in two hitters’ parks in this series, Houston will have a chance to hit plenty of home runs.
The Astros have a very good middle of their lineup and those hitters will need to carry this team.
