The New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals are lucky enough to have two of the top prospects in all of baseball.
Anthony Volpe claimed the starting shortstop job for the Bronx Bombers, while Jordan Walker secured his spot on the Cardinals Opening Day roster.
These are two of the top prospects MLB has to offer, and both are prepared to do some damage and help their teams reach new heights in 2023.
Both are expected to have big seasons this year.

The tools section of the graphic is where fans can see just how similar Walker and Volpe are to one another.
Volpe has the edge in terms of contact hitting, with his rating at 60.
However, Walker isn’t too far behind with a 55 rating.
Walker has the edge in power with a 65 rating, but Volpe comes in at 60, so he isn’t too far behind the Cardinals top prospect.
Both are fast baserunners and are solid on defense.
The only notable gap between the two is in the arm category.
Walker’s arm ranks at 70 while Volpe’s ranks at 50.
Still, these two prospects are set to do some damage in 2023, and fans of both teams are excited to see what they have to offer as the season unfolds.
Each team will kick off their season on Thursday, and fans will have their first opportunity to see their top prospects in action.
