Major League Baseball is filled with players that are flying under-the-radar.
These players are putting up impressive numbers but are not getting recognized for it.
Now, heading into the 2023 season, they deserve their shine as they could be competing for major awards.
Here are the two most underrated players in the sport.
2.Kyle Tucker
Kyle Tucker is an integral part of the Houston Astros dynasty the last couple of years.
However, he isn’t as recognizable as someone like Jose Altuve or Yordan Alvarez.
His numbers do more than back up how talented he is.

In 2022, Tucker slugged 30 home runs, posting a .257 batting average and 5.2 WAR.
He drove in 107 runs and was able to steal 25 bases.
At just 25 years old, he earned his first career All-Star selection and won the Gold Glove Award.
Despite this, fans don’t necessarily think of his name when they think of stars in the sport.
1. Andres Gimenez
While the Francisco Lindor trade shipped away the beloved face of the Cleveland Guardians franchise, the return of Andres Gimenez has made the transition much smoother.
Gimenez had a breakout season in 2022.

At 23 years old, he posted a 7.4 WAR, one of the highest in the league.
He also hit .297 and connected on 17 home runs.
While he isn’t a power bat, Gimenez showed power potential at the top of the Guardians’ order.
He also won a Gold Glove, showing how well-rounded of a player he is.
His style of play helped usher in a new, gritty identity for the Guardians.
This helped to carry them into the playoffs, nearly upsetting the New York Yankees.
However, Gimenez’s supremely impressive season largely went under-the-radar for many.
Now, heading into this year, he has earned the underrated title.
