With most of the top MLB free agents being taken off the board, the offseason is hitting its final stretch.
While there are still moves to be made, the winners and losers of this offseason are becoming clear.
Here is a look at two teams that are having a great offseason so far.
2.New York Yankees
The New York Yankees entered the offseason with the possibility of losing a couple of their biggest bats.
They were able to quickly re-sign Anthony Rizzo, an underrated move to keep a strong left-handed bat.
Then, their attention shifted to keeping Aaron Judge.
While it cost them a lot, the Yankees were able to hang onto the reigning AL MVP and make him a Yankee for life.
With it expected for him to be named as the team’s captain, this signing sets the tone for the Yankees as a franchise.
However, the Yankees weren’t done there.
They were able to go out and get pitcher Carlos Rodon, who is coming off a standout 2022 season.

I have posted a 14-8 record with a 2.88 ERA.
Not only this, but the Yankees are likely not done.
Even if the offseason ended today though, the Yankees are heading into 2023 with largely the same roster and the addition of a front-end starting pitcher.
1.San Francisco Giants
Even though the San Francisco Giants missed out on the Judge sweepstakes, they more than made up for it.
They signed Mitch Haniger, and underrated outfielder from Seattle who is looking to have a bounce back season in 2023.
The team also made one of the biggest splashes this offseason, inking Carlos Correa to a 13-year deal.
Dodgers fans already hate the guy enough.

These two moves alone strengthened the Giants’ lineup, turning it into one of the best in baseball.
Add in other supplementary moves like signing Sean Manea and Ross Stripling, and the Giants have had a very good offseason.
