Every year in Major League Baseball, there are a number of names that breakout onto the scene.
This year, rookies like Jeremy Pena and Julio Rodriguez became superstars overnight, looking like they’ll have long and successful careers.
However, even players who have been in the league longer like Sandy Alcantara, Edwin Diaz, and Luis Arraez had major leaps in 2023 to stardom as well.
Who are the players poised for this year?
Here are two players that can take that leap.
2.Brandon Marsh
Brandon Marsh will be entering his third MLB season and hasn’t quite lived up to his top prospect status.
However, after he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies during last season, it appeared as though he figured things out mechanically.

With a full season in Philadelphia looming, there is a chance he can break out in a big way.
He is the type of hitter that could post a 20+ home run season, along with a batting average above .280.
It is something that a full season could offer, and his breakout onto the scene could give the Phillies a helpful boost.
1.Jazz Chisolm
The Miami Marlins second baseman had a stellar start to the 2022 season.
However, that was quickly sidelined as Jazz Chisolm suffered a pair of serious injuries.
These were a torn meniscus and stress fracture in his back, both of which ruined his year.
While these are difficult injuries to come back from, Chisolm is an electrifying player that can become a superstar.

It is expected that he will return fully healthy next year.
This could establish him as the best second baseman in baseball.
Because of this, he is a true candidate for a breakout season.
