Getting him back is a simple decision for the Cubs bullpen.
2.Dansby Swanson
Dansby Swanson is the best shortstop still on the market for the Cubs to get.
While the team missed out on Carlos Correa, they still can get this former Atlanta Braves shortstop.
His 2022 season saw him posting his best batting average (.277) since his rookie season in Atlanta.
He also had a career high in RBI (96), runs (99), and hits (177) during the 2022 season.
But it wasn’t just his bat that was impressive last season, as he also won his first Gold Glove during 2022.
While some might believe this means he peaked during 2022, the 28-year-old has plenty of time to keep improving.
Everything about him makes him an easy choice to improve the Cubs lineup for 2023.
