The Chicago Bears 2023 offseason might see them making moves at the quarterback position.

While most people are focusing on Justin Fields, fans should also focus on the team’s backup quarterbacks.

The team had to rely on their backup’s this season, as Fields missed two games

With the backup’s winning no games last season, they might need better backups if they do become contenders.

So who are the two best backup quarterbacks available for the Bears to sign in 2023?

Mason Rudolph

If the Bears want a backup quarterback with starting experience, getting Mason Rudolph is a solid choice.

In 10 starts with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he went 5-4-1.

While he saw no playing time in 2022, he has three seasons of experience filling in for injured quarterbacks.

He can do just enough to keep his team in games, something the Bears will need in a backup.

With the backup market being tight, Rudolph gives the team a low-cost option with starting experience.

Cooper Rush

Cooper Rush has been a hero for the Dallas Cowboys whenever Dak Prescott had an injury.

While the team brought back Prescott when he was healthy, Rush gave plenty of hope that he can be a starting quarterback.

He was solid in his first four starts of 2022, recording four touchdowns and no interceptions.

With all three of his interceptions last season coming in one game, he shows how he’s normally protective of the ball.

He gives the Bears a solid backup option, as signing him shouldn’t cost the team much money.

However, with his normally solid play, he gives the Bears a chance if they have to use him.
